The Smart Home & Transport

I'm assuming that our methods of transport goes well beyond just our vehicles and that as much of it as possible is connected to our new contextual smart home. I have on-going research in this space.

A key part of this is the storage of human powered vehicles (e.g. bicycles) and also the charging of electrically assisted transport. Cleaning of footwear, bicycles and cars is also an important consideration. The use of harvested rainwater being a good example.

In July 2022, I undertook project to install solar PV panels, along with a Tesla Powerwall and an electric vehicle (EV) charger. This led me to start looking at our first electric vehicle.

Electric Vehicle

My requirements for our first electric vehicle are quite simple:

This looked like my idea commute/city car but it is no longer manufactured. There are second hand examples available though.
